I don't know what is ahead of me a month from now. Thanks to E, an appointment was made in the Weekend with Ben @ DP.

Prior to that, E informed me that it is CF Work, I was worried and excited then, wondering about wikipedia site for terms like debt restructuring, merger and acquisition, issue of rights, capital market, etc. The next is to briefly browse through books on company law. I dont seems to get the contents or meaning of my reads thus I decided to be honest with Ben from the start.

He was cool with it and went on telling me how he got into practice da da da. Easy-going chap and best part he played badm too. A very casual session that ended well and completely out of my expectation.

I'm offered a place and a regular badminton session on Sat 3pm in the end. phew~

chill le uncle

25th - application to obtain my legal aid certificate - rejected
28th - application to pay for admission fee - rejected with remarks to do it after pupillage
1st - application to submit my particular of petitioner for confidential report purposed - failed AGAIN

damn fucking selfish and childish stupid old stubborn + stingy old man, have you no brain, no heart and no sense of urgency and consideration?

Trying to get my admission delayed by not allowing me to do/submit the necessary documents is the least you can do to feel mighty and superior?

Just my luck~

I'm a game addict

10:37 AM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (0)

The passion for games is almost beyond my control recently. I couldnt anymore resist the itch every time the clock ticks to 5pm. This probably is due to the cutting of my Sat tap class for the current job or maybe I'm just enjoying the fun out of it or maybe it does takes my mind off abit from the remaining 2 months of pupillage.

Uncle Patrick, a friendly 60+ yr-old uncle I met in Ara court doesn't mind me joining his team and welcome my participation each and every time I could get away from office before 6pm or even later. The level of play and skills equipped in every players make all games good fun learning process.

Last week was my first official session with them. This coach (ah ho) whom I just realised is uncle P's niece played quick and interesting net games. His backhand smash...walaooo wehhh i wish I can do that soon lol I then met uncle Peter, Uncle Billy, Uncle Daniel, Uncle PK Lau, Uncle Beh, Ken, Victor and also Wong etc.

Uncle P booked 3 courts, 1st is mainly for his single games which I played times, then the 2nd court with better players and 3rd being the expert territory... I being the first timer try avoiding too strenuous games. Fortunately ah ho came over centre court for sparring. Games ends with plenty of sweats and a late night dinner.

Yesterday I was struggling whether to join as my shoes ain dry yet and my fingers were wounded 2 days ago during the games. I tried blow-drying the shoes he night before, put them under fan and then the rains comes smiling at me...on the other hand i also keep pressing my wound to test the endurance hoping i dont feel any pain in it so I can join the badm session at 6pm...by 5pm I'd decided irregardless of anythg, i must go for the game so it is another earlier departure from office lol

More new faces came joining. Uncle Teoh, CG, Uncle's P's son Gary, his uncle's son...3minutes of observing and down I joined them for consecutive games up to 8:30pm...old system, very fast and challenging games, new pairing, syokness is the onli word that came to mind. The night end with tasty curry seafood in my stomach...hoho

Cant wait for the nx game wooohooo~

world of music~hmmm

11:06 PM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (1)

Earlier in my childhood, organ is the only music instrument I'm exposed to, for fun and god know what reason I expressed my eagerness to and soon dad nodded approval to me taking up the lesson. The interest subsided grade after grade..

I would say I havent much talent in it, but I dont suppose it applies to all music instruments...at least I'm enjoying the rhythm that my tap shoes is generating thus far. If only the instructor can fast forward the teaching lalala

I do always believe it is never too late to learn, I have my next instrument in mind hehehehehe costly to my current condition but to heck with that I ain gota die with cash notes over my dead body regretting not doing what i wish lol

Cardrona Bra Fence

10:13 PM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (0)

Cool bah? This is one of the tourist attraction in Otago, NZ~speechless eh? The fence is next to a farm in the area of Cardrona Valley.

This began sometimes between X.mas and New year of 1999 where a couple of bras were attched onto the fence. Why so...I have no heck idea~Slowly the new spreads and more bras are added onto the fence. The media coverage then leads to more bras appearing.

It was cleared off as some ppl thought it is an eyesore bla bla but more n more ppl are curious and interested in the fence and overwhelming numbers of bras keep pouring in until the local council ordered its removal sometimes in 2006 claiming such as an embarassment.

The removal later leads to an attempt to make the world's longest bra chain, raising some monies for charity shortwhile later.

Wonder if I would visit the place lolz

exhausted~

1:59 PM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (0)

Yesterday was the day after the 6 hours games, my body is so fatigue I doubt I can take on any extra games, sign of aging, grrrrrrr~ so happen M whom i met at legal aid conclusion session mentioned has a game with her colleagues in KL and asked if I would like to join, I happily say yes in complete irregardless of my drained-body and soul.

My brain later communicated with my body saying it's just another games for extra sweating and satisfaction, with a group of new faces...for the fun of it, why not. Plus, those are ppl from AC, if I happen to be lucky enough they take me in nextime, I would already have known some of them through the games.

The place was some distance away from where I stayed but the smooth traffic makes good the journey there. Courts ain easy to find but we d

One step into the hall I saw familiar . A guy I met during an arbitration with my boss earlier. According to M, he is a very good boss and youngest partner in firm. I can't help but to agree picturing how good he was presenting his case earlier. As for the rest, I have not any of them.

I was asked to join the gentlemen for double games upon entering, shoes on, guard up, couple sips of water, and down I went. I introduced myself to F and said hi to the opponents and the very first game started. We won the game and KC kept saying he wanted to take us on thus the entire night F and I partnered and we managed the game fairly well.

Lady players don't look like frequent comers. Nevertheless they enjoyed the fun.

Myself was overly exhausted from the long-hour games day before and before and the strength and focus seems to be lacking.

They invited us to come again next week, hmm...if M does join, I don't mind going along. But loudao was objecting mainly due to the distance of the court from my place :(

Dad is in town, gota say sorry to L's invitation for another game in Kepong tonite...phewww finally can have a goodsleeep, happy holidayyyyyy everyone~

addictive games~

11:18 AM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (2)

6 hours of games on weekday, real satisfying but I guess this is the lastime I can play so absurdly during weekdays since my LA duty will be concluded today.

I woke up not feeling my feet and restless but with sense of completeness and composure, awaiting the next better match.

the time passes like snail moving when one just doesn't enjoy doing what he/she does

Things have been going alright until recently when the unreasonable demands and expectation are made eveb harder to keep and bear~but all advice from the relevant authority and fellow friends were against the thought in my mind, as usual...

I guess life just ain gota be that smooth and 'lao tian yeh' wanted it that way...this leaves my determination to leave and experience life elsewhere boiling hard lol

Carnival, plenty of foods and traveling over the weekends...and Monday is waiving at us with the wickest smile blueing through our day

Tomorrow will be the last session for DB, gota miss that badly hmmm~

It was a long wait this morning in Shah Alam High Court.

I only decided to entered Tuan's cubicle by 11:30am. I told him I'm new to that building and uncertain about how the system work thus waited upon clarification from another lawyer that we are to wait for our case to be called.

He smiled and praised my patience. I blurted the fact that I'm a pupil in chambers and he went..."no wonder..." haaa...and he tested me by asking a few question like whether is there any interlocuroty application which may come in, how long should all the filing of bundles and cause paper take, etc...Me being me, just gives all the crap answers and asked him for forgiveness hahaha

He thought I'm the last, I thought so too...then we casually chated into how am I surviving with the chambering period, hows my master, whether I plan to stay on, hows my pay, rental dadada we even went into sports topic...What a nice Tuan, I wish his fellow colleagues are like him so I won't be so stressed up.

I was kinda relief upon getting what I requested from him and headed back to office for what I'm asked to do via text this morning...hmm..Got to office and realises some crappy remarks for ...well...f*ck it and I shall not care less~

grow up pls~

tourney

5:29 PM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (5)

A badminton tourney will be held by KL Bar Young Lawyer Committee 31st of this month @ PJ, only members of the Bar or Pupils can take part...which means...lesser competitors wuahahahhahah

I obviously don't know anyone in this practice who plays or love playing~

The 1st guy in mind for mix double candidate was my opponent back in college and unfortunately he has a marathon to attend in Genting.

Next victim naturally is someone from my legal aid duty list wuahahaha MY. He said he plays but hasn't been playing a while and refer a lady player to me. and boilaaaaaaa I got a Sabah State player to cover my ass in women double event. A practice session with her was instantly fixed on the Weekend and...hohoho she is one good candidate~

Mix leh?I called the guy i first called and asked for another name, he gave me N's contact and said if we do pair up, champion title can't be earned by any other team, I text him the nx day and he has a partner already sobsob...he nevertheless gives me another guy's contact, F, another good shuttler who championed last year title in Malaysian Bar tourney.

The comes this guy J in mind, who was also refer by the 1st guy. He claimed that J is very super popular and lengzai and may not be available due to all those shit..knowing very well he must be kidding, I text him and he happens not to have a mix double partner then...and I found my partner hiakhiak

but he asked alot too many ques afterthat making me wana puke~so girlishhh

Same night F whom J refers to me txt to ask if we cld partner but...the request came a lilz late.

Only later did i discover J actually is N's partner and all of them knows each other. Thus another practice session is arranged this coming Sun~

burn-fat time begins~yay!

another Sat session

4:51 PM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (2)

S is conducting the class despite the fact that her little fetus has reached month 5-6 or probably 7. I’m so glad she is back in action. Any tips or advice or even fine-tuning from her is an essential piece of inspiration to me and the rest and you can bet every lessons from her will be well-learnt by the humble and keen.

She was talking about Associate Tap this morning, the stage where one masters sufficient basic skills + knowledge and progresses to the next stage of teaching. I’m sure plenty of hard work, sweats and times must been spent for this route but I’m contented able to put on the pairs and making a fool out of myself tapping while the music is on.

I never regret this actually happens and still happening.

By the way, S asked J to give me a private lesson on time steps. In my head, I was so reluctant thinking having to forge out an extra hundred + bucks for a hell session with J is a complete waste of time, cash and my sweat plus energy. It turns out S wants J to give this private lesson free of charge, phew~ much relief.

Deep down, I was thinking… I rather a 10 mins with S than an hour of suffering with J but wth I can’t be so blunt. Afterall it is free of charge and…thus I proceed to make an appointment with J on the timing. As undedicated and lame she is, she arranges a slot the month after Grade 6 exam. Really an ass****.

Hm…now I’m wondering which firm am I heading after Jan next year...all the trips lalala~

thought for quite awhile whether I should come home during the raya break and decided I miss mydad very badly.

baobei was sneaked into the office for speedy reunion with my dad n mum on Thurs night but plan is confined to just plan.

tick tick tick...830 my damn boss still want to further discuss on the other job and I broke down quite a bit since I wanted to head home at 5pm and hopefully by 7+ I can have dinner with mydad.

Boss questioned why I have to join the crowd and stuck in the jam at this very thursday and why not hang around and head home on Fri. In my mind 4-letter words were flying around and the tension arisen and got worse.

Wtf you bother about when I wish to go home and when is the best time I should. I have been away from home for this fucking a**hole job and my entitlement to go home should and must be absolute. Wait till a day you have your kids far away and they never pay u a visit, i'll see how you feel, pathetic oldfolk~

anyway, home is best..though I dragged mydad a lilz too late on Thurs nightm I have a fruitful Friday...the piranha show was better than I expect, every lilz meals and chats were awesome...and with stramyx connection and dad around, nothing can be better...

it is only Sat afternoon now when I may have just finish work and headed to my sat lesson. sweet to be home, I gota go chat mydad up again, chao~n happy raya+holiday every1

55cents/km...so pathetic

10:19 AM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (2)

I thought no sane firm should by now still giving pathetic claim as little as 55cents for every km we travel but this crappy one I'm with does practice 55cents/km.

I've checked with my fellow friends from different firm. Some has more than a ringgit, a couple @ RM1 per km...a majority with 80cents and few more are allowed 75cents.

When I look for authority, they will tell me 2008 cases are so wayyyy out and do not keep up with current trends and pace. When it comes to mileage claim, they will crappily rattle and claimed they have revised the rate since 2008 and it is way so reasonable.

The arguments arose when I put in extra miles to bring up the claim because I really aint happy with the rate they are giving. So my claim got rejected and I propose it is time they revise their rate...fine, I go collect sufficient supporting and will see if they will revise!

ygp: This pen 50cents, very expensive leh!!!!
me: wtf!

boss's bulb was blinking and he called V to asked if the lights downstairs are functioning alright, with a really tak sabar tone. V confirmed everything was good downstairs. His bulb keep blinking, he called second time to V and reconfirmed:"you SURE?very SURE?" (if u dun believe go down sendiri lah) Instead of changing the bulb, he called to TNB to complain.

despite all the objection and suspicious points raised, the lou goo poh is still hired.

I can only think of one s2pid reason that she got hired, a d of 10 years working experience asking for the pathetic amount of RM1.2k per month.

all the way from setapak to PJ.

they will take any monkey in so long the pay is cheap

cant wait to see the work got messed up and i eagerly awaits to know which parties surrender earlier

the deadline for work is getting tighter I wish a breath out somewhere just to chill and calm that over-stresses soul
however, permit me to rattle for 5min just to release the early tension from work and..boss
Every person I know with slight knowledge of the current firm I work with will salute the extent of endurance in me with the crap policies, rules and regulations etc imposed plus the unbearable stress from boss which is so freaking unpredictable and make us wanted to puke
few rules to amaze you:-
be serious at all time
leaving office @ 530pm is a sin (practically even u work like a dog till 10pm or 12am will not please them)
no talking in the office, no joke no gossips allowed
insufficient stationaries with the most cheapskate pens which always decided to die midway of your most crucial job (and S will be saying 80cents ya'know this pen, very expensive lolz and they will pass the dead pen to the next colleague thinking it will ressusitate)
always be ready to work on weekends (i even worked during labour day)
off the pc at lunch hour or anytime you think u wont be using your pc for a while
dont use the paper too often
less printing upstairs
no internet for all
cut-cossssssttt
mileage claim as low as 55 cent/km only restricted to that one path they measure/fix earlier
no submission of work on Fri
worst of a law firm with no legal assistant (LA) to assist and backup and when physical appearance of LA is required in court and there is insufficient locus for us to help out, the thunder strikes so freaking badly...your fault or not, all will be victim of this disaster
the hardest to bear of all - unreasonable and never-ending demands from boss worsen by his very unpredictable temperament followed by stuff-throwing to stress everyone out every now and then
F!To brace myself wld be to switch my focus to some wonderland or maybe travel plan the little sh @ home or maybe games games n more games
but most of the time, I just wish to go home n sleep
this stage of life isn fun but im bound to complete it with the firm determination just to cheer my dad
surprisingly I find legal line interesting despite all the hatred and doubt about me studying law
I pray for a better environment to work soon
times up...war resumes.

Dock Brief is the last legal aid duty I wish I am assigned to.

Considering it was emphasized in the legal aid selection form that our first and second choice may not be granted, I intentionally make Dock Brief my first choice thinking they may not accord to my choice.

Unfortunately, I got it.

Looks like I gota mitigate for the criminals, request for bail and reduce remand period grrrr

Thunder just struck, I'm breathless...

Someone please help~

I just read the Pupil handbook reminding the impoliteness of sms-ing our Master/Partner/Senior and I thought as time passes, this has turned an acceptable practice.

Yup, I did that to my Master, and he just texted to assign me some researching task, cool leh my boss...I just wish he won't find me 没礼貌 when I text him, again hehe

Drumming with feet

11:37 AM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (0)

Billie Elliot, the show that I never get tired watching and am still loving it to the extent no one can picture.

Tap is something I'm very sure I would love to pick up since young and I believe it gives good relief with feet being bang away rhythmatically complimenting the musics.

It was improvisation session lastnight. It looked really tough and complicated with the restricted 'vocab' we have but it turns wonderful when we just close your eyes and let the feet do the job, a brilliant exercise which exhausted me at the end but gives 101% satisfaction.

Billie, August Rush..How wonderful one is gifted with musical talents...I so wish I'm one of them...engross in the world of musics and all sorts of musical instrument...*dream*

It takes merely 10 seconds and
According to Mr Murali, "You can from now onwards, pretend to be a lawyer."
lolz...intimidating considering our A&S is leaving...and I haven't time to brush up my bahasa grrrrr
I saw GJ, he was accompanied by his master and his firm's LA to a hearing.
I pula yang kena pigi hearing sendiri grrrr

Stage 2 written submission

4:29 PM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (0)

The past many legal opinions I have been working on have received satisfactory remarks from the learned master.

That takes me to stage 2...of drafting written submission:) The headache bit is having to write in bahasa but the consolation is there are sufficient dictionaries in the library and translator on the internet as reference to assist.

I took almost a day to complete the drafting, awaiting boss to drop in for further discussion/amendment. Shortcall date is fixed at 19th May, since another lawyer is leaving, the task to me naturally grows as there is no other lawyer except my master at this very moment. I just got a list of date of hearing/mention/case management/mediation, etc...and my name was on it a day after the date of shortcall.

The angel on my right is saying: Practical experience in court in your very 1st month, go for it!
The devil on the left is sulking: Someone pay peanuts for a lawyer job~

Anyhow, chambering student or Legal Assistant out there, if you are looking for a legal firm to work at, come join me asap

best of luck!

byebye black day

11:41 AM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (2)

It was a 'black' day last night. I decided not to stay late for work and headed home by 5:30pm hoping I can make it to the badminton session at 6pm. After giving many opinions on motor vehicle accident cases, the paper experience went a step further to one which is real. My little car was knocked from behind. I'm firm that it wasn't my fault but the driver hit and run. ee...no luck...YY where are you nah~

hmm...I proceed with my game hoping a better day the next morning. Later at night I received news that my best buddy encountered a similar incident in JB and my housemates couldn't locate their car keys when they are done with their meal in OneU.

Today when I got into the office, I received some compliments from boss regarding the work I submitted to him yesterday. Not bad hor..hehe me....and legal work...still kinda unbelievable.

I'm contented and what's next?

happy chambering

11:55 AM / Posted by 十八般武艺 / comments (1)

I have made it at least...for the first two weeks~hmmm this is entirely out of my own expectation and I'm hoping thing goes just as smooth possible:)

No flexible working hour and waking up late, no bunny in the office, only formal wear with slipper allowed in the office, very many limitation and restriction in terms of stationary usage, ar....also, slow PC with one PC allowed the internet access...that apart, boss is very knowledgeable and sharing in terms of practical work and experience. I'm quite contented where I am compare with the rest, very much happy indeed.

Week two with petition for admission submitted awaiting short-call date to be extracted, have been to KL HC and a few other Sessions court, pretty fluent with opinion-writing and ofcourse, more to come...

best of luck for myself and everyone else...*resuming work*

2.5 hrs for an interview to be a chambie in the firm...too much? and before that there is 2 essays entitled "Jikalau kamu dilantik untuk berkhimat sebagai seorang peguam, apakah sifat-sifat terpenting yang perlu diamalkan?" and "Why are you inspired to be and Advocate and Solicitor". I laughed out quietly in heart, not sure if i should proceed. Since the boss has not arrived, I wrote with imagination lolz

The flow of writing in Bahasa just ain't there but I believe I have tried my best. The interview was very detailed, quite informative and I can see the interviewer is very experienced in a wide range of matters. He tested me on how to handle many different situations, my reaction, my thoughts, my plan...He wanted to know almost everything. Hmm, I quite like him, but he does insurance litigation thus the requirement of seeing pictures of corpes, injuries, blood...is a must at all time and yesh, plenty of times will thus be spend running to and fro the KL court.

To start means to stuck for 9 months at the pupillage stage without leave. To be serious in it means to read more judgements and news, get myself familiarize with court procedures, case law and statutes bla bla, to be serious means I better start shopping for my court attires.

I choose to go for a walk before any decision is made. For all the nagging from whoever loves doing it, I shall disregard and I wanted my future in my arm, not your mouth. I prefer to do things my way and not yours. Even if extra miles are required in terms of challenge, difficulty and effort, I will always persist. I live for me, not you, thus I pursue my own path and happiness, not yours. I respect you but it doesn't mean I shall accede to your never-ending demand and command on how my life should be.

Lastly, what's wrong with wearing short pants and casual? So what for wearing formal suits? A monket with suit remains a monkey. It is the value one can provide for their employer, not just the image that matters.

favour?

For that one and only passion I have, I decided to ask a favour from the boss. If it works, great stuff~the next couple of months wouldn't be so bad. If it doesn't,hmm....I'm quite clueless on the next step to take but do or die, I must convince him the reason I need the grant of such flexibility.

Where am I heading to

Frustration and fears always leave me helpless, resulting decision at impulse. Hm...not the very firstime and thank god most of the times, I got off luckily towards a blessed outcome:)

This round, I aint sure if I will be blessed the way I always did but I hope I will be. I felt totally dejected when I don't get to participate at certain works which is not within my experty. Me, that me that you and I know very well, shouldnt and wouldnt be bothered by minute business like this but when things occur and re-occur, the sense of uneasiness accumulated, hence my final "click" on the mouse last night, out of uncertainty.

It came with no surprise that I got the call this very morning. I aint sure if this is the path to go, maybe I just...cuba dulu? not very short a period, from what I understand, it is almost like...in the hell hmm...okie those are hearsay, I pray.

sey zhao sey, wish me the bestest luck ohhh I miss Sri Petaling pan mee, yet AGAIN grrr

No-end to frustration~

From the begining, I told him it will not work the way he thought it would be.

But he goes: "I wanted to help." Me: "People don't appreciate things the way you think!"
He: "But It is my dream!"
Fine...my only option is to go along.

After all hardwork, all efforts, though appreciated by one (which seems to be the only consolation), went down the drain for one simple reason you and I will also accede to, sigh~

For a very dear friend, thanks for helping me to cover the territory not 'damaged', your support is always a strong force to keep me going~

For the idiot who initiate this, F you with your so-called generosity and wanting to help...

Life isnt good, life just aint interesting as before, or maybe I havent find the reason to

God, please turn me alive, and take me to the right place *praying hard*

what's next without that SE GTS i so wanted~

We are assured the beauty of the city, the comforts of the stay and the wonderful local cuisine but it all came to disappointment the moment we stepped out from the Chatrapatti Airport.

The city is filled with dust, countless people and the air isn't that clean. That was the very first impression we had but a careful explore and observation reveals the lovely culture and people in the country.

I heard the city could be in quite a chaos, terrorist attack may take place, people may get robbed, stomach of ours may get easily upset upon consumption of local foods and drinks, beggars will stare and tag at u all time. To my surprise, this place, despite a very terrible n hectic traffic, is indeed a very safe place to roam about.

People are friendly, helpful and kind. They are simple and seems to be very happy all the time. One simple question will attract many to come forward offering assistance. Language proven to be a real great barrier during communication but eventually we manage rway to every single area and village we would love to visit.

Dhobi Ghat has got some impressive view of clothes being washed and dried in bulk. Mahul is real rural a village but nothing compare to Dharavi, the place where SLumdog M was shot. Surprisingly , people we met seems to be very satisfied with their life and enjoying in an environment we may classify as "hell" despite the fact that they have merely enough to eat. Local spices, vege and flowers line along the street of Crawford. Juhu beach has got kites, bird and airplanes on its air accompanied by the amazing sounds flowing from the flute; one of the many beautiful views during our journey in Mumbai. And that sounded big but not-so-big national park, I offered my apology to my travel partner Melissa. However, I can't deny that the luck is with us and that day ends with satisfaction in the market of Bandra. As for the town, we managed a 3 hours tour visiting the Gateway, Gandhi's house, Jeng Temple, Marine Drive, CST, Chowpatty, etc. Not as modern i thought it would look like but a realy busy city. Ar...those street booksellers and their books is one of my favourite spot~The only two places we miss...Sewri Bay and Filmcity for Flamingo and Bollywood stars respectively~

As for food, I guess we have a mixture of local and western, mainly dishes with Masala sauce and pizza...hmm...Maharaj burger from McD, BRobbin, Domino's even kitkat gives the kick in us most of the time. The tandoori ikan without bone is a classic!

Alright the speaker is standing in front giving speeches, I shall stop and focus in this Research course in order not to disappoint the boss, chao!
